GATHERING OF THE GUARD 2016 in BOZEMAN, MT on Saturday, June 18.
Plans are being finalized for the Gathering of the Guard in June. We have a conference room reserved at the Grantree Inn, in Bozeman. The hotel has a pool, a restaurant and a full service bar. Other hotels and restaurants are close by.
We have a block of rooms at a special “government” rate (due to many of us being Veterans). $138 per night. You will need to get your reservations at your earliest convenience to guarantee a room at that rate for Friday (17th) and/or Saturday (18th).
A somewhat less expensive option for staying in Bozeman would be:
TLC, INN 805 Wheat Drive: $119 single and $129 double
There are many others, a quick “googling” will show you other options in the area and in nearby Belgrade.
We will meet in a conference room (look for signs in lobby and hall) at the Grantree at 9am with the meeting starting by 10am. You may want to eat breakfast before hand (or get a quick bite at the noon break from 12-12:45), as we are having a dinner together after the meeting. This year, the meeting is our main focus and there will be lots of time to discuss and get things accomplished and to move them forward with your new and/or reinstalled board members. There is no rush to finish, as we have the room until 3 pm if needed.
After the meeting, Steve White will Ride Captain a trip taking the back roads to Sir Scott’s Oasis in Manhattan for dinner at 4pm. Sir Scott’s has fantastic burgers, great steaks and tons of other meal options. In order to participate in this ride and join us for this meal, you MUST sign up ahead of time, as we need a head count for the Oasis to prepare for us. Please REPLY to this email by February 8th to assure we have enough spots open for everyone who wants to come. Tell me how many in your party for the meal.
Jim and Darla will be selling raffle tickets, starting at 9am in the conference room at the Grantree. This year, we are foregoing the silent auction and instead raffling just a few incredible items to our membership. There are no “pre-sales” and this is only open to PGOM Members who are AT the Gathering. Tickets are ONLY available starting at 9am in the conference room before the meeting and will be sold until the meeting starts and again during the break from noon until 12:45. The winner MUST BE PRESENT at the end of the meeting to win, in order to do the appropriate paperwork. You must also have ID with you to complete your paperwork and to receive your item.

Please also remember to REPLY to this email with HOW MANY in your party to attend the destination dinner at Sir Scott’s Oasis. Your reservation must be in by February 8th to assure a spot for this dinner. You DO NOT HAVE to go on the ride, and can meet everyone at the dinner, if you choose, but you still MUST get counted now so everyone can have a spot.
